This weekend I took part in a flower workshop organized by the National gallery.
We had a flower-themed lecture by an art historian, where we viewed photographs, paintings and sculptures and listened to accompanying historical facts about potraying plants and flowers in the art. It was almost surreal, the venue, the distant chatter of gallery visitors, the calmness and the passionate speach of the historian.
The second half of the workshop was hands-on : creating a flower arrangemnt in the premises of gallery cafe. I was unsure whether I’ll be able to work in such an environment, surrounded by other participants of the workshop, but no worries – once again I got lost in time and space.
First spring weekend, sun, coffee and cake…and peace of mind.
Here’s my arrangement.
Have a great day!
