Was I inspired by the Catcher in the Rye? Not sure. But a very pretty wheat field made me think that we could go and explore, and take some pictures.
It’s actually not an entirely pleasant experience for little humans below one meter, since the wheat is not so soft as it seems when the fields are making splendid waves in the wind. But we tried and took some pictures! Here’s one.
And later we took some pictures after the harvest. The bottom of the wheat plant which remains after the harvesting is very hard and spiky, as you can see from the picture.
The rolls made out of wheat make a beautiful setting, but of course you need to have Dad supporting your little one 🙂
We are looking forward to see cereal fields grow! We are taller this summer.
Have a great day!
